Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ra Maya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Harlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody Harlow told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harlow throws out the jab.
Maya throws a series of strikes that have Harlow backpedaling.
Harlow is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maya.
Harlow shoots in for a takedown but Maya shows good takedown defense.
Harlow tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maya swivels and escapes.
Maya slaps away a takedown attempt from Harlow, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ra Maya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Harlow.

Harlow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maya's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harlow postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maya is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Harlow, into his guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Maya throws a right hand that Harlow ducks under and follows up with a left that Harlow also avoids with ease.
Ra Maya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
