The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcello changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mahoney tries to avoid it but Marcello manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mahoney to the ground. Mahoney escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Marcello ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mahoney throws a hook but Marcello avoids it easily.

Whelan Mahoney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Primo Marcello.
