Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sadollah Amir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a series of wild punches.
Amir tries a head kick but it misses.
Amir throws a head kick but Couture moves out of range.
Couture thows a left - swing and a miss!
Robert Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture throws out a powerful jab.
Amir tried to score with a low kick but Couture checks it.

The crowd cheers as Couture lands an impressive looking overhand right. Amir doesn't seem phased though.
Couture throws a series of punches but Amir avoids them all with ease.
Amir moves in looking to clinch but Couture pushes him off.
Sadollah Amir is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Couture throws a lazy right hand but Amir sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Amir fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Couture is out of range.

Amir tries to work over Couture's front leg with a kick but Couture checks it.
Amir feints and then cracks Couture's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Couture down.
Couture closes the distance looking to clinch

and Amir moves into the clinch.
Couture tries to stall but Amir uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Couture's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Couture throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Amirs head.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Robert Couture.
Amir takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Amir wants to clinch up but Couture keeps it at a distance.
Amir connects with a solid leg kick.

Couture shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Amir napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Couture misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amir is not content to let Couture control the position.
Amir tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Couture fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Amir takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Couture trying to control the position but Amir is working away.
Amir is looking for a sweep.
Couture lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Amir down.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Couture is looking to clinch but Amir is avoiding it.
Couture lands a jab to the nose.
Couture misses with an uppercut.
Couture misses with a looping left.
Couture tries to clinch up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Couture misses with an uppercut. Amir saw that one coming.
Amir lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Amir counters with an inside leg kick.
Amir lands a head kick. Couture smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Couture throws out a loose jab but Amir uses good head movement to avoid it.

Amir does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Amir is looking to chop away at Couture's legs.
Couture misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sadollah Amir will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Amir throws a body kick that misses.

Couture takes the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for Amir to work.
Amir takes a shot to the head.
Couture drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Amir gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Amir tries to pull guard but Couture won't allow it.

Amir gets control of Couture's arms and successfully pulls guard. Amir will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Amir drops back, looking for a kneebar! Couture looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Couture looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Couture!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Couture wants to control but Amir is keeping him busy.
Couture throws an elbow but Amir slips to the side and avoids it well.

Amir is refusing to be controlled, as Couture sits in half guard.

Couture must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Couture got a little sloppy there for a moment and Amir has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Couture has managed to get both his arms back between Amir's legs - danger averted.
Couture tries to free his leg and advance position but Amir is retaining full guard.
Couture really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Couture is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Amir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Couture gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Amir lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Couture!

Amir is working for a guillotine from mount but Couture frees his head quite easily.

Amir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Couture is looking to improve his position but Amir isn't that keen on the idea.
Amir avoids the attempt from Couture to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Amir has control of Couture's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Couture regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Amir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Couture bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A combination from Couture does no damage.
Couture changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amir tries to avoid it but Couture manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amir to the ground. Amir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Couture throws a head punch that misses.
Amir tries to land knees in the clinch but Couture avoids the damage to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Amir's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Couture swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Amir counters with a head kick. That will keep Couture thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Couture is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amir.

Amir blocks a jab.
Couture might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Amir counters with a big head kick but Couture shrugs it off.

That has opened up Robert Couture's cut even more.
Couture looks to land a left hand but Amir moved out of range nicely.

Couture shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amir sprawls well. Amir wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Couture gets slowly back to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
