PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henrik Sedin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dog comes to the cage accompanied by Fan of Marrizle. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henrik Sedin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Dog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dog throws a head kick but Sedin moves out of range.

Dog decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dog wants to control but Sedin is keeping him busy.
Sedin pushes Dog off looking to stand but Dog dives back in and keeps control.
Dog wants to take a breather but Sedin is having none of it.
Sedin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dog.
Dog looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
It looks like Dog is going to stand back up.
Dog trying to mount his opponent but Sedin defends it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sedin wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dog misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dog throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sedin.
Sedin throws a leg kick but Dog checks it.
Dog wants to clinch up but Sedin keeps it at a distance.
Dog throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Dog looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sedin throws a solid leg kick but Dog takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sedin.

Dog takes the fight into the clinch.

Dog pulls guard effortlessly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dog wants to get back to his feet but Sedin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sedin stopping the sweep attempt from Dog.
Sedin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sedin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dog is keeping the position for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sedin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sedin wants to control from the top but Dog keeps moving.

Dog is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sedin is aware though and is defending well.
Dog wants to get back to his feet but Sedin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dog throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sedin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dog shoots in for a double leg but Sedin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sedin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sedin slips a jab and a cross from Dog.
Dog blocks a low kick nicely.
Crazy Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sedin stuffs the takedown attempt from Dog. Dog gets slowly back to his feet.

Sedin shoots in and bounces Dog off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dog is trying to keep Sedin in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dog is adopting a defensive guard.
Dog controls Sedin momentarily but Sedin frees himself.
Sedin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Dog looking for a sweep. Not yet Dog, not yet.
Sedin wants to control from the top but Dog keeps moving.
Sedin tries to free his leg and advance position but Dog is retaining full guard.
Dog is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dog rushes Sedin and presses him up against the cage.
Dog has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sedin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crazy Dog dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dog has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sedin should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dog has tightened it up now! Sedin should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
