PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Hitana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitana scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Galvao doesn't seem bothered though.
Galvao shoots for a double leg takedown but Hitana sprawls well. He's pushed Galvao's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hitana defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Galvao.
Hitana throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Galvao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hitana wants to clinch up but Galvao keeps it at a distance.

Hitana wants to control the pace but Galvao is squirming around nicely.
Hitana tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Galvao moves out of range of the strikes.
Hitana throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Hitana throws a hook to the side of Galvao's head but Galvao sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Galvao checks the leg kick nicely there.
Galvao keeps the fight on the outside.
Galvao shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hitana as he jumps to the side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galvao looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Galvao fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hitana avoids it really well and circles away.
Hitana throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Anderson Galvao is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hitana leaves Galvao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hitana takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Galvao takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hitana looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hitana lands with a straight right. Galvao didn't see that one coming.

Hitana has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Galvao - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Hitana, and another! Galvao is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
