Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Hideki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deejay Vendetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hideki's entrance music is Raunchy - Warriors. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Vendetta's choice of entrance music: Five Finger Death Punch - The Bleeding. Deejay Vendetta told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hideki tries a low kick but Vendetta avoids it.

Vendetta feints and as Hideki raises his hands in defense, Vendetta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vendetta stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hideki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hideki is trying to control the position but Vendetta postures up.
Hideki tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hideki can't keep his opponent in guard - Vendetta advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Deejay Vendetta just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Deejay Vendetta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hideki throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vendetta on the side of the head.
