Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dwyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Thompson tries to clinch up.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up with Dwyer, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes Dwyer against the cage but Dwyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dwyer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dwyer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Thompson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dwyer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Thompson moves into the clinch.
Dwyer breaks from the clinch.
Dwyer shoots in for a double leg but Thompson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Dwyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dwyer gets caught flat footed, as Thompson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Thompson stands up and waves to Dwyer to follow him.
Dwyer wants to clinch
and Thompson counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Thompson moves into the clinch.
Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dwyer tries to clinch but Thompson moves away
and Thompson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dwyer is breathing heavily.
Thompson drives through and clinches with Dwyer against the cage.

Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thompson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dwyer is trying to improve his position.
Thompson is putting a hurting on Dwyer here, landing some big shots from side control.
Thompson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dwyer, who protects the arm well.
Thompson stands up.
Thompson has managed to clinch.
Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Thompson works Dwyer's body with a nice hook.
Thompson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dwyer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Thompson. Thompson obviously looking to wear him down.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches.
Thompson jumps into guard, dragging Dwyer to the mat.
Thompson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Dwyer misses with a takedown attempt
and Thompson counters with a series of strikes. Dwyer will be more careful next time no doubt.
Thompson misses with a series of wild punches.
Dwyer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Dwyer. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Dwyer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dwyer is fighting to break Thompson's control of his arms but Thompson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dwyer tries to stand but Thompson is controlling from the bottom.
Dwyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thompson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dwyer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Thompson pulls Dwyer in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dwyer postures up in Thompson's guard and throws a big left but Thompson blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Thompson pushes Dwyer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Dwyer looks to clinch
and Thompson counters with a crisp one two that drops Dwyer! Thompson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dwyer to his feet! Dwyer is in big trouble!
Dwyer is rocked!
Thompson throws an overhand right that has Dwyer reeling! Thompson follows up with more punches and Dwyer is out cold! This one is all over!
