Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Junior Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samryn Redflame!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Redflame did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Gracie tries to stand but can't do so whilst Redflame controls his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Redflame is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Redflame gets full guard.
Redflame working for a triangle but Gracie defends it easily.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Redflame is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Redflame's guard.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Redflame swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie pushes down on Redflame's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Redflame defends it well.
