The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Angelo tries to sprawl out of it but Ribeiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Angelo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Angelo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ribeiro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Angelo avoids it really well and circles away.
Angelo scores with a three punch combo!
Angelo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ribeiro fails with a takedown attempt.
Joe Angelo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Ribeiro.
Angelo connects with a looping right hand.
Ribeiro looks gassed!
Angelo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Angelo lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Ribeiro falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
