Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson Mack will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Quick.
Quick shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Quick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mack keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Quick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quick off to one side.

Mack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quick to the mat! Quick manages to get full guard.

Quick has momentary wrist control but Mack slips an elbow through the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Quick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mack tries to avoid it but Quick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mack to the ground. Mack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
