Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nino Abbas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Umipig!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Umipig is trying to maintain the position but Abbas is very close to passing his half guard.
Umipig won't allow Abbas to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abbas passes the guard and advances to mount!
Abbas working the ground and pound effectively.
Umipig is rocked!
It looks like Brandon Umipig has been cut.
Abbas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Umipig is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Umipig and Abbas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Umipig can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Umipig is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Umipig manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Umipig wants to control but Abbas is keeping busy.
Umipig is refusing to be controlled, as Abbas sits in half guard.
Umipig won't allow Abbas to pass to mount.
Abbas is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Abbas stopping the sweep attempt from Umipig.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Umipig keeping full guard, as Abbas tries to pass.
Abbas passes Umipig's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Abbas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Umipig!
Abbas trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Umipig is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Abbas working for a guillotine from mount but Umipig is in no mood to give up.
Abbas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Umipig is on top in guard.
Abbas is breathing heavily.
Umipig drops back looking for a leg! Abbas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abbas manages to kick Umipig off! Umipig jumps back into Abbas's guard.
Umipig sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Abbas doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Umipig paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Abbas - great work!
