PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy LeDouche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Maurizio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LeDouche comes to the cage accompanied by 30 Century Man. Maurizio has chosen NMH2: No More Riot as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maurizio fails with the takedown.
Maurizio tries to close the distance and clinch up but LeDouche swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maurizio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. LeDouche defends it nicely.

LeDouche closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
LeDouche tries to pull guard but Maurizio holds him up against the cage and eventually LeDouche drops back down to his feet.
LeDouche fails to pull the fight into his guard.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Maurizio just misses with a elbow thrown towards LeDouche's brow.
LeDouche is trying to force a seperation but Maurizio has the dominant position.

Maurizio pushes off an throws an elbow but LeDouche leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Maurizio got a little sloppy there for a moment and LeDouche has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maurizio has managed to get both his arms back between LeDouche's legs - danger averted.
LeDouche wants to sweep but no luck.
Maurizio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LeDouche swivels though and keeps the full guard.

LeDouche is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maurizio defends well.

Maurizio throws a strike but LeDouche rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

LeDouche postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maurizio is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of LeDouche, into his guard.

LeDouche has a closed guard, preventing Maurizio from standing up.
Maurizio cracks LeDouche with a solid left hand.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

LeDouche dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
LeDouche shoots in looking for a takedown. Maurizio tries to sprawl out of it but LeDouche keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maurizio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
LeDouche connects with a nice looking jab.

Maurizio tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and LeDouche is able to avoid easily.

LeDouche throws and elbow that misses. Maurizio uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in LeDouche's guard. Nice move by Maurizio!

LeDouche has his foot on Maurizio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Maurizio works his way back into a safe position though.
Maurizio is looking to work some ground and pound but LeDouche has wrist control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

LeDouche has gone for a leg lock! Maurizio slips out almost immediately though and dives into LeDouche's guard.

Maurizio is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but LeDouche has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Maurizio is looking to defend but LeDouche has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Maurizio! LeDouche pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Maurizio taps out and this one is all over!
