Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caleb De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Altair Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Altair Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caleb De Janeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Altair Silva!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but De Janeiro circles away quickly and effectively.

Silva drops De Janeiro with a beautiful combination! De Janeiro stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Silva is looking for the KO!


De Janeiro is rocked!


It looks like Caleb De Janeiro has been cut.
Silva is looking to clinch but De Janeiro is avoiding it.
Oh De Janeiro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. De Janeiro tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Janeiro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva leaves De Janeiro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
De Janeiro seems to have got his legs back now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Janeiro darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.

Silva wants to get up but he can't break De Janeiro's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

De Janeiro remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

De Janeiro unloads with some shots from mount but Silva bucks and avoids them well.
