Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Bear has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Guy Blake's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear with a jab.

It looks like Guy Blake has been cut.

Blake gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bear to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bear pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blake is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bear drops back looking for a leg! Blake is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Blake manages to kick Bear off! Bear jumps back into Blake's guard.

Bear working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blake's head.
Bear throws a strike but Blake rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Blake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bear has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blake is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bear digs a good hook to Blake's body.
Blake is breathing heavily.
Bear lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bear forces Blake back against the cage and clinches.

Bear has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Blake uses from the top position.
