Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Langeveld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pull Over (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Langeveld comes to the cage accompanied by Chop Suey!. Over is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Insane Clown Posse - In Yo Face. Edwin Langeveld has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pull Over!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Over looks to score with a jab to the body but Langeveld is just out of range.

Over shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Langeveld is trying to defend but Over finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Langeveld is trying to get back to full guard.
Langeveld really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Langeveld wants to control but Over is keeping busy.

Over is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Langeveld is trying to maintain the position but Over is very close to passing his half guard.
Over throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Over moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Langeveld has worked his arm free - good work by Langeveld!

Langeveld tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Over wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Langeveld is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Over off and has taken his back!
Over should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Langeveld is really struggling to control Over but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Over has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Langeveld.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Over has eaten all the pies!
Langeveld is landing with strikes from the back.

Langeveld has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Over has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Langeveld is working the ground and pound. Can Over escape?

Over is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Over takes a kick to the side of the head.
Langeveld slips a jab and a cross from Over.

and Over counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Over.
Langeveld wants to sweep here but Over controlling him for the moment.
Over wants to pass the guard but Langeveld is keeping the position.
Langeveld is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Over drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Over jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Over is breathing heavily.

Over drops back, looking for a kneebar! Langeveld looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Langeveld looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Langeveld!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Langeveld stands up and beckons Over to his feet.
Langeveld doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Over counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Langeveld wants to sweep here but Over controlling him for the moment.
Over trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Over wants to pass the guard but Langeveld is keeping the position.
Over stopping the sweep attempt from Langeveld.
Over trying to control but Langeveld is working from the bottom.
Langeveld tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Langeveld wants to stand but Over is controlling the position.

Langeveld pushes Over off and gets back to his feet.
Over keeps the fight on the outside.
Langeveld throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Langeveld has Over up against the cage in a clinch.

Langeveld breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Langeveld closes the distance and clinches up with Over, looking for a takedown. Langeveld pushes Over against the cage but Over circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Langeveld. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Over.
You can see the frustration on Langeveld's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Over tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Over has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Langeveld is trying to improve his position.
Over throws an elbow but Langeveld slips to the side and avoids it well.
Langeveld is trying to control Over's posture but Over avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pull Over showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Langeveld's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Langeveld shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Over's guard.
Langeveld forces his way into half guard.
Over is not content to let Langeveld control the position.
Langeveld is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Over manages to get to full guard.
Over avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Langeveld has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Langeveld looking to sit in guard and control but Over gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Over trying to control but Langeveld is working from the bottom.

Langeveld looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Langeveld is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Langeveld wants to sweep here but Over controlling him for the moment.
Pull Over has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Over scores a takedown into full mount!

Langeveld wants to hold on but Over pushes him away.

Over is working for a guillotine from mount but Langeveld frees his head quite easily.

Over working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Over misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Over goes for an armbar but Langeveld turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Langeveld.

Langeveld decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Langeveld shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Over counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Langeveld!

Over with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Langeveld tries to control the position but Over now has his back.

Over is persistently looking for the submission but Langeveld is defending it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pull Over comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Over has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
