The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rubeck's head.
Rubeck throws a looping overhand right but Thompson ducks down to avoid it.
Rubeck looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Thompson lands with a good body shot.
Rubeck misses with a straight right.
Thompson misses with a head kick.
Rubeck throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rubeck with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rubeck looks to land a combination but Thompson avoids it well.
Rubeck misses with a two punch combination.
Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by Rubeck.
A jab from Rubeck does it's job there.

It looks like John Thompson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thompson ducks under a wild hook from Rubeck.
Rubeck tries to work over Thompson's front leg with a kick but Thompson checks it.
Rubeck tries to clinch up.
Rubeck throws a leg kick but Thompson moved away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rubeck swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Rubeck dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thompson. That did some damage!
Thompson is breathing heavily.

Rubeck lands a left and a right that send Thompson crashing to the mat, dazed. Rubeck thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rubeck looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rubeck attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Thompson keeps the fight on the outside.
Rubeck looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rubeck scores with a hook to the body. Thompson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rubeck throws a body punch but Thompson moves out of range.
Thompson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rubeck lands with an uppercut that bounces Thompson off the ropes and back into rage.
Thompson blocks a head kick by Rubeck.
Rubeck tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.
Rubeck lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thompson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rubeck.
Rubeck tries to clinch up but Thompson circles away and keeps his distance.
Rubeck pivots, looking for a leg kick but Thompson is out of range and Rubeck settles back down.

Rubeck lands a big head kick that sends Thompson tumbling to the mat! Rubeck takes a step backwards and waves Thompson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

John Thompson's cut is getting worse.
Rubeck throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thompson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rubeck tries to clinch up but Thompson circles away and keeps his distance.
A big left from Rubeck misses.
Rubeck misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rubeck is looking to clinch.
Rubeck pushes Thompson away with a front kick.

Rubeck lands a big uppercut and Thompson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thompson looks OK. Rubeck waves Thompson back to his feet!

Thompson is rocked!
Rubeck throws a front kick aimed at Thompson's knee but Thompson avoids it well.
Thompson walks straight into a right hand from Rubeck - that's dropped him! Rubeck jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thompson from any more punishment! Thompson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
