The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
velasquez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roosevelt lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
velasquez shoots in for a double leg but Roosevelt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Roosevelt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Roosevelt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

velasquez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roosevelt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
