The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byku fails with a takedown attempt.
Byku looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? LaRusso is fending him off so far but Byku persists. Nope, LaRusso circles away and we're back to standing.
LaRusso swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnny LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LaRusso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Byku shoots in for a takedown but LaRusso shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrzej Byku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Byku moves out of range as LaRusso throws a body kick.
LaRusso tries a head kick but it misses.

Byku bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Byku tries to advance to mount but can't.
LaRusso tries to escape but Byku is in control.

Byku has an Americana. LaRusso didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Byku is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Byku hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
