Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Saku Sammakko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mr black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammakko kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saku Sammakko. black has chosen yes as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammakko throws a head kick that misses.
Sammakko throws a body punch but black moves out of range.
black tries to clinch but Sammakko moves out of range.
Sammakko keeps the fight on the outside.
A punch combination from black misses.
A punch lands to the side of Sammakko 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sammakko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
black throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sammakko takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sammakko lands a straight punch to the body, keeping black at a distance.
black moves in looking to clinch but Sammakko pushes him off.

black gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

black manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

black with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The referee warns Sammakko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

black looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sammakko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sammakko tries to roll over but black keeps him under control.
Sammakko is staying active underneath black, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
black takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sammakko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. black is working away from the top position though.
Sammakko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

black has control of Sammakko's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sammakko regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sammakko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sammakko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

black got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sammakko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, black has managed to get both his arms back between Sammakko's legs - danger averted.

black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sammakko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sammakko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sammakko shoots for a double leg takedown but black sprawls well. He's pushed Sammakko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

black drops Sammakko with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sammakko looks back up at him and smiles so black waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

black tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sammakko smiles and moves away.
black stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
mr black is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well black has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
