The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown by duran or perhaps it was just good defense by Rivera which made him look bad.
duran shoots in and drives through. Rivera sprawls well.

Rivera moves into the clinch.
Nice elbow from Rivera.
Rivera lands a nice knee to the body.
duran fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for tristan duran. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rivera stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rivera is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rivera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
duran shoots in but Rivera avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rivera lands a big head kick that sends duran tumbling to the mat! Rivera takes a step backwards and waves duran back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like tristan duran has been cut.
duran is breathing heavily.

Rivera steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! duran is out on his feet! Rivera sets himself and nearly takes duran's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
