The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Taylor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Taylor counters by moving into the clinch.
Taylor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Taylor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Taylor wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taylor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Taylor's legs - danger averted.

Smith throws out a loose jab but Taylor uses good head movement to avoid it.
