Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between charles white (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and charles xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
white throws a shot from downtown. xavier moves away and avoids it.
white throws a shot to the body.
white thows a body shot but no joy.

xavier fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. white sprawls well initially but xavier persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
white is looking for a sweep. xavier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

xavier is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

white has hold of xavier's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and xavier manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

white is going oldschool here, as he tries to force xavier to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so xavier shrugs it off.

white thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed xavier's head.
xavier is not content to let white control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. white gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. white apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
xavier is trying hard to land a takedown here. white sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
