Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ross Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Lev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koscheck comes to the cage accompanied by amazing by kanye west. Gregor Lev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koscheck closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Koscheck lands in his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koscheck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Koscheck is not content to let Lev control the position.

Lev is looking for a kimura here.

Lev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Koscheck wants to get back to full guard.
Lev is keen to just control but Koscheck is a slippery customer.
Koscheck on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Koscheck tries to get out of the position.
Lev is stalling here. Koscheck is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lev seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Koscheck has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Lev is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Koscheck has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Koscheck is looking to take a break and control but Lev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lev stalks Koscheck and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Koscheck's face. Koscheck staggers backwards, shaken.
Gregor Lev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koscheck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lev keeps working.
Koscheck is really struggling to control Lev but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Koscheck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lev on the ground.
Lev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Koscheck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Koscheck trying to control the position from guard on top but Lev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lev keeping moving, preventing Koscheck from controlling successfully.
Koscheck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lev lands with a big left! Koscheck is wobbled badly! Lev comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Koscheck to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
