Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Blick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes into the arena with Take My Hand blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blick sprawls well. Blick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.

Blick darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Diaz is looking for a sweep. Blick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Diaz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Blick is trying to defend but Diaz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Diaz tries to clinch there but Blick circles away.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Blick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Blick looks up at the clock and then as Diaz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blick smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
