Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stewart Slovick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and king kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). king kong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stewart Slovick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, king kong!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slovick misses with a low kick.
Slovick looks to throw the jab but kong is out of range.
kong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
kong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

kong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
kong dives in and grabs Slovick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slovick pushes down on kong's head and hops out.
Slovick lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slovick.

kong has Slovick pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Slovick manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Good leg kick by kong there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
kong is pressing down on Slovick's thigh, looking to free his foot. Slovick is holding on for now.
Slovick is looking for a sweep. kong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
kong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slovick is just riding it out for now. kong eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Stewart Slovick will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

enabling kong to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Stewart Slovick has been cut.
Slovick tries to close the distance and clinch up but kong swats him away and circles back towards the center.

kong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slovick manages to get himself to full guard.

kong is looking to take a break and control but Slovick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Slovick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slovick swings away with a leg kick that misses.

kong is looking to clinch but Slovick is avoiding it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stewart Slovick.
