The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalakaua tries to close the distance and clinch up but Edwards swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Edwards, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kalakaua tries to clinch up but Edwards circles away and keeps his distance.
Edwards misses with a wild combination.
Edwards drops Kalakaua with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kalakaua looks back up at him and smiles so Edwards waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Humu Kalakaua has been cut.
Edwards is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kalakaua.
Kalakaua has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kalakaua tries to score a body lock takedown but Edwards shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Edwards breaks from the clinch.
Kalakaua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Edwards.
Edwards misses with a looping left.
Edwards grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Kalakaua takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Edwards cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
