Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Grendine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diesel Kone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diesel Kone will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Kone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Grendine takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Grendine shoots in looking for a takedown. Kone tries to sprawl out of it but Grendine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grendine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

You can see the frustration on Grendine's face as Kone controls the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Diesel Kone just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Grendine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well Kone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
