The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maia at a distance.
Good exchange - Young coming out on top.
Young wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Young rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maia moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Young stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Young wants it to stay on the feet.
Maia tries to move into range but Young moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Young displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maia.
Young thuds his right hand into Maia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Young scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maia doesn't seem bothered though.

Maia leaves his chin hanging out and Young seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Maia crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
