The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giordano fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Giordano closes the distance and clinches up with Rhea, looking for a takedown. Giordano pushes Rhea against the cage but Rhea circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Giordano wants to break free but Rhea has control.

Giordano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rhea smiles and moves away.

and Rhea counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Giordano is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Giordano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rhea as he avoids it easily.

Giordano shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Giordano shoots for a double leg takedown but Rhea sprawls well. He's pushed Giordano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Giordano avoids the head kick by Rhea.

and Rhea counters with a big head kick but Giordano shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
