Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - One. Wuzz has chosen Lützenkirchen - Cairo on Acid as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Al Wuzz!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wuzz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wuzz thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Blais to regain full guard.
Wuzz passes Blais's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wuzz is working for a kimura but Blais is defending it quite comfortably.
Wuzz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blais misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Wuzz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wuzz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Blais might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Wuzz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Blais sees it coming and defends easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wuzz is trying to work for a kimura but Blais is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wuzz tries to free his leg and advance position but Blais is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wuzz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blais to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Blais has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wuzz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blais defends well.
Blais wants to stand but Wuzz is controlling his posture from full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wuzz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blais is aware though and is defending well.

Blais pushes Wuzz up against the cage in a clinch.
Wuzz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Blais gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wuzz jumps guard but Blais stands there with Wuzz around his waist. Wuzz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Blais breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blais stuffs the takedown attempt from Wuzz. Wuzz gets slowly back to his feet.
Jean Sebastien Blais has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Wuzz.
Blais defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wuzz.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jean Sebastien Blais seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blais moves into the clinch.
Wuzz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Blais prevents it.

Blais manages to break the clinch.

Blais closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Blais wants to break the clinch but can't.

Blais's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blais misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wuzz with a poor takedown
and Blais cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Blais feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wuzz's calf.

Blais gets caught flat footed, as Wuzz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wuzz has gone for a leg lock! Blais slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wuzz's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wuzz working for a triangle but Blais defends it easily.

Wuzz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Blais drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blais jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wuzz has his foot on Blais's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blais works his way back into a safe position though.

Wuzz has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Blais doesn't defend quickly enough and Wuzz has managed to lock this one up! Can Blais escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wuzz on a fantastic submission victory.
