Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Top (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Cordoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Top comes into the arena with Killing in the name blaring out of the sound system. Cordoba has chosen English Fire by CoF as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoba misses with a wild body shot.
Top ducks under a wild hook from Cordoba.
Cordoba lands with a good body shot.
Top takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice defenses there by Top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Brick Top will probably get the nod.

Cordoba is staying active underneath Top, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Top drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cordoba looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cordoba looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cordoba!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cordoba got a little sloppy there for a moment and Top has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cordoba has managed to get both his arms back between Top's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
