The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.
Magalhaes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Magalhaes blocks a jab.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Magalhaes moves out of range as Johnson strikes.
Magalhaes shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Magalhaes fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vinicius Magalhaes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Magalhaes.
Magalhaes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Magalhaes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Magalhaes avoids them all with ease.
Johnson stalks Magalhaes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Magalhaes's face. Magalhaes staggers backwards, shaken.
Johnson lands with a big right hook that stumbles Magalhaes - he's out on his feet here! Johnson follows up with another monster hook that separates Magalhaes from consciousness! Magalhaes falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Johnson stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
