Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucious LaFleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaFleur comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 2001 a space odyssey kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Humberto Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFleur misses with a two punch combination.
LaFleur thows a body shot but no joy.
Cruz throws a series of punches but LaFleur moves out of range.

LaFleur closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

LaFleur drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and LaFleur jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cruz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Cruz gets caught flat footed, as LaFleur shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as LaFleur accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cruz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and LaFleur defends well.

LaFleur drops back looking for a leg! Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruz manages to kick LaFleur off! LaFleur jumps back into Cruz's guard.

LaFleur drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cruz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now LaFleur has Cruz in his guard.
LaFleur wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cruz trying to control but LaFleur is working from the bottom.

LaFleur is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cruz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed LaFleur's guard.
LaFleur has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cruz is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are battling for position here. LaFleur manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Cruz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cruz stands and throws LaFleur's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cruz cracks LaFleur with a big elbow.
LaFleur tries to bench press Cruz off him but Cruz keeps the position.
LaFleur can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lucious LaFleur will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

LaFleur misses with a combination
and Cruz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
LaFleur throws a nice looking combination but Cruz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Some wild striking there from LaFleur.
Cruz clobbers LaFleur with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cruz lands a lovely overhand right.
LaFleur drops his hands momentarily and Cruz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

LaFleur is rocked!
Cruz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks LaFleur right on the button. LaFleur goes down! Cruz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Cruz gets the win via TKO!
