The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wannick tries to land a front kick but Manson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Wannick misses with a head kick.
Manson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Riddick Wannick has been cut.
Manson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Manson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wannick is trying to improve his position.
Manson is looking to take a break and control but Wannick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Manson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Manson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Manson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Manson shoots for a double leg takedown but Wannick sprawls well. He's pushed Manson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wannick, right into the meat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Manson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That has opened up Riddick Wannick's cut even more.
Manson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wannick moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wannick misses with a leg kick
and Manson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wannick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manson moves away.
Manson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wannick backs up against the cage.
Wannick takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The cut above Riddick Wannick's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nice body punch from Manson.

Manson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Manson showed some decent athleticism there.
Wannick is staying active underneath Manson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Manson lands a nice short elbow.
Manson slips a nice elbow through Wannick's hands, connecting with Wannick's forehead.
Manson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Manson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Manson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wannick's head.
Manson thows a big elbow that misses.

Wannick throws his legs up looking for a submission but Manson uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Manson scores with a couple of short elbows.
Wannick is not content to let Manson control the position.
Manson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Manson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Manson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wannick was well out of range. Poor timing from Manson.
Manson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Manson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Wannick gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Manson counters with a nice body shot.
Manson swings for the body but Wannick moves out of range.

Manson scores with a one two! Wannick had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Riddick Wannick's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Riddick Wannick's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
