Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Hais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hais comes to the cage accompanied by Time to Say Goodbye by Bocelli & Brightman. Machine has chosen Stupid KId as his entrance music. Vladimir Hais has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Vladimir Hais!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Machine!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hais defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Machine.
Hais digs a good hook to Machine's body.
Machine blocks a leg kick.

Machine scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Machine tries to pass to full mount but Hais defends it.
Hais is not content to let Machine control the position.
Hais looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hais kicks Machine off and gets back to his feet.
Machine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hais sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machine somewhat.
Hais looks to land a combination but Machine avoids it well.

Hais rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machine moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Machine slips a straight right by Hais.
Hais throws a series of punches but Machine moves out of range.

Vladimir Hais has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Machine.
A slow jab from Hais misses its intended target.

Machine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hais swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hais had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Machine defends it easily.
Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Hais is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hais really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hais utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Machine won't allow Hais to sweep him here.

Hais is looking for a triangle but Machine pushes his legs off easily.
Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Hais is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hais is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Machine closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hais sneaks out the side door and pushes Machine away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Hais displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Machine.
Hais lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machine circles away quickly and effectively.

Machine closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hais to the mat! Hais manages to get full guard.

Hais working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Machine works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Machine takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Machine wants to free his trapped foot but Hais is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hais is trying to stand.
Hais moves into full guard.
Hais keeping full guard, as Machine tries to pass.
Hais looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machine is one step ahead there.
Hais is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ray Machine will probably get the nod.
That's time! Hais's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hais moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Machine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Machine checks the leg kick.
Machine slips a jab and a cross from Hais.
Hais throws a nice looking combination but Machine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hais swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machine darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Machine looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hais wants to improve his position but Machine is controlling well.

Well, if Machine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Machine prevents Hais from standing back up.
Hais is looking to improve his position.
Hais tries to kick Machine off but Machine keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Machine frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hais keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Machine working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hais wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Machine.
Hais is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hais is squirming around, avoiding Machine's attempts to control the action.

Machine working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Machine avoids the attempt from Hais to control.
Hais regains half guard.
Hais wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hais is looking for a sweep. Machine is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Machine is trying to control the action in half guard but Hais is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hais is pressing down on Machine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Machine stopping the sweep attempt from Hais.
Hais lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Machine!

Hais fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Machine.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Machine.
Hais throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Machine.
Vladimir Hais is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hais misses with a head kick.
Hais looks to land a left hand but Machine moved out of range nicely.
Vladimir Hais seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hais swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vladimir Hais will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Machine thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Machine must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Machine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hais swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hais stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hais wants it to stay on the feet.

Hais swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Machine changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hais looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hais is trying to control Machine's posture but Machine avoids it.
Hais pushes Machine away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Machine gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Machine is staying tight to Hais's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Machine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Machine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hais has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hais is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Hais gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Machine is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hais manages to get to full guard.
Hais keeping moving, preventing Machine from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hais is looking for a triangle but Machine pushes his legs off easily.

I would just about give that final round to Ray Machine.
I think Machine has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
