Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sert Pier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prokhor Stalevarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Prokhor Stalevarov!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalevarov moves in looking to clinch but Pier pushes him off.
Pier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stalevarov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Pier swats away the attempt to clinch by Stalevarov.

Pier lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stalevarov backwards.

Stalevarov is pressed up against the cage. Pier has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stalevarov down to the mat. Stalevarov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No joy there for Pier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pier is trying to drag Stalevarov to the mat but Stalevarov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pier lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pier stops Stalevarov from getting back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pier is working for a kimura but Stalevarov is defending it quite comfortably.

That was a close round but I would say that Sert Pier will probably get the nod.

Pier throws and elbow that misses. Stalevarov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pier's guard. Nice move by Stalevarov!

Pier is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stalevarov defends well.
Pier thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Stalevarov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Pier decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stalevarov's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stalevarov is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pier.
Stalevarov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pier avoids it.

Pier has Stalevarov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stalevarov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Pier blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pier is trying to break the clinch but Stalevarov has him pressed against the cage.
Pier looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Stalevarov wants to stall.
Pier is working for takedown but Stalevarov is calmly controlling the position for now.
Pier tries to circle away but Stalevarov has him pinned against the cage.

Stalevarov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pier is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stalevarov to the mat. Stalevarov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Pier throws a strike but Stalevarov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stalevarov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stalevarov has managed to get both his arms back between Pier's legs - danger averted.
Sert Pier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stalevarov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stalevarov tries to clinch but Pier moves away

and Pier counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pier.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Pier can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sert Pier dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Stalevarov darts in trying to clinch

and Pier counters by clinching up.
Stalevarov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pier.
Pier lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Pier has had enough of the clinch but Stalevarov keeps him there for the moment.
Pier lands a hook to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Pier has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stalevarov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Stalevarov stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stalevarov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Pier prevents a body shot from Stalevarov.

Stalevarov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pier's defenses.
Pier misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Pier gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Stalevarov scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Pier decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stalevarov's guard.
Stalevarov is looking to stand up but Pier isn't so interested in that idea.

Stalevarov kicks Pier off and gets to his feet.
Sert Pier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stalevarov tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Pier counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Prokhor Stalevarov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stalevarov working for submissions but it's allowed Pier to get to half guard.

Sert Pier showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Pier has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
