Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Billy Butler!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler is looking to clinch but Walker is avoiding it.
Butler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Walker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Butler tries to clinch up.

Butler tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch.

so Walker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Butler is retaining full guard.
Butler is looking to stand up but Walker isn't so interested in that idea.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Butler is wriggling around trying to escape.
Walker is landing with some decent strikes but Butler is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walker working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Walker is breathing heavily.
Walker scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The referee warns Butler that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Butler is wriggling around trying to escape.
Butler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Butler is squirming around, avoiding Walker's attempts to control the action.

Butler is in a horrible position here. Walker smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Walker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Walker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Butler tries to hold on but Walker postures up.

Walker goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Butler turns into him and now he's in Walker's guard.

Butler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Butler tries to get out of the position.
Walker wants to control but Butler passes easily into half guard.

Butler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Walker is proving hard to escape from.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Walker moves in looking to clinch but Butler pushes him off.

Walker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Butler wants to stand but Walker has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Butler is working away from the top position though.
Butler throws a strike but Walker avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Walker is looking for a triangle but Butler pushes his legs off easily.
Butler wanted to stand there but Walker had control of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt

and Walker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Walker wants to break free but Butler has control.

Walker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Butler wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.
Butler is looking to clinch.
Walker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

It looks like Billy Butler has been cut.

Walker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Butler is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Butler and Walker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Butler stalks Walker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walker's face. Walker staggers backwards, shaken.
Walker slips a jab and a cross from Butler.

Walker forces Butler back against the cage and clinches.
Butler blocks an elbow strike from Walker.
Knees to the body from Butler.
Walker is stalling here.

Butler tries to pull guard but Walker won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Walker lands with some strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Billy Butler's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Billy Butler's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
