The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from cryer.
cryer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
cryer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but guy circles away quickly and effectively.
cryer swinging wildly here.
cryer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as guy throws out the jab.
cryer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
guy misses with an uppercut.
guy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

guy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
guy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from cryer.
A looping hook to the body misses from guy. cryer does a little dance to reset his feet.

cryer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
guy is refusing to be controlled, as cryer sits in half guard.
guy is trying is best to control the position here.
cryer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

cryer is breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

cryer takes a body punch but keeps moving.

guy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

guy cracks cryer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! cryer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can guy finish him?

guy throws an overhand right that drops cryer like a sack of potatoes! guy dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
