PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jomu Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Perote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Allen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Great One. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Perote throws a lazy right hand but Allen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Allen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Allen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Miguel Perote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Perote throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Allen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Perote throws out the jab.
Allen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Perote, as that shot connected.

Perote swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Allen.
A looping hook to the body misses from Allen. Perote does a little dance to reset his feet.

A punch lands to the side of Allen 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Allen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Perote.

Perote misses the jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Allen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Perote gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Allen with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Allen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Perote smiles and moves away.
Perote might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Donk. Perote catches Allen right on the button with a cross.
Nice defenses there by Allen.
Perote throws out a loose jab but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Allen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Allen tries to clinch up but Perote circles away and keeps his distance.
Perote scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Allen shoots for a double leg takedown but Perote sprawls well. He's pushed Allen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jomu Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Allen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Perote is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Allen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Oh Allen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Allen seems to have got his legs back now.
Perote stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Allen blocks a jab.
Perote looks to land a right hand but Allen moved out of range.
Allen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perote drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Allen right on the button. Allen goes down! Perote follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Perote gets the win via TKO!
