Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Igor Emelianenko was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko misses with a body kick.

Peter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Emelianenko sprawls well initially but Peter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Peter wants to stand up but Emelianenko has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Emelianenko is trying to stand.
Emelianenko looks gassed!

Peter tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Emelianenko.
Emelianenko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Peter.
Peter wants to stand up but Emelianenko manages to regain full guard.
Peter content to stall in guard here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Peter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Peter lands a nice hook to Emelianenko's body. Emelianenko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Peter drops Emelianenko with a beautiful combination! Emelianenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Peter is looking for the KO!

Emelianenko is rocked!

It looks like Igor Emelianenko has been cut.
Peter lands with a big left! Emelianenko is wobbled badly! Peter comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Emelianenko to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
