Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diablo Maradona!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Michikano!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Maradona looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Maradona tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Michikano paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Maradona shoots in but no luck this time.
Maradona pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maradona shoots for a double leg takedown but Michikano sprawls well. He's pushed Maradona's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Maradona shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Michikano as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diablo Maradona. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Michikano. Maradona does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maradona connects with a solid leg kick.
Maradona scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Maradona looking to control but instead Michikano has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Michikano is looking to improve his position.
Michikano moves into full guard.

Michikano wants to sweep but no luck.
Maradona got a little sloppy there for a moment and Michikano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maradona has managed to get both his arms back between Michikano's legs - danger averted.
Maradona passes Michikano's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Maradona content to control rather than advance.

Michikano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maradona defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maradona accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Michikano can't keep his opponent in guard - Maradona advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Michikano tries to get to full guard but Maradona has control of the leg.
Maradona thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Michikano's head.
Michikano tries to roll over but Maradona keeps him under control.

Michikano lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Maradona!

Maradona is desperately trying to improve his position but Michikano has a good base and remains in mount.
Michikano lands with some strikes.
Michikano unloads with some shots from mount but Maradona bucks and avoids them well.
Michikano is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Maradona is looking to get to half guard.
Michikano misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Michikano looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maradona holds on to Michikano around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.

Michikano working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Michikano is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Maradona is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Maradona flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Michikano anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Maradona and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Michikano slips an arm under Maradona chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Michikano has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Michikano is squeezing on Maradona like an anaconda would it's prey. Maradona fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
