The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haito avoids the head kick by Rooney.
Rooney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jamie Rooney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rooney tries to clinch up.
Rooney throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Haito shoots in for a double leg but Rooney sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Haito wants to clinch but Rooney slips to the side
and Rooney counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Rooney seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Haito tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rooney smiles and moves away.
Rooney dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Haito. That did some damage!
Haito misses with a takedown
and Rooney counters with a left and a right that stings Haito.

Rooney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rooney stalling in the clinch but Haito improves position.
Haito jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rooney walks away with a smile on his face. Haito gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rooney. That's going to slow Haito down.
Rooney throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rooney shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Haito is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rooney pulls his head out easily.
Haito regains full guard. Nicely done.

Haito throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rooney uses it to pass to side control.

Rooney decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Haito decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rooney's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Haito feints and as Rooney raises his hands in defense, Haito changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Haito wants to control from the top but Rooney keeps moving.
Haito postures up and lands a big shot to Rooney's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haito moves out of range of the body kick.
Rooney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Haito gets back to half guard.
Haito tries to roll over but Rooney keeps him under control.
Haito wants to control but Rooney is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Haito moves into full guard.
Haito has his feet on Rooney's thighs here. He's pushed Rooney off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rooney screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
