Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis comes into the arena with killing in the name of blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mal Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Lewis. Reynolds does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reynolds misses with a jab to the body
and Lewis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Reynolds wants to clinch
and Lewis counters with a series of strikes. Reynolds will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lewis ducks under a wild hook from Reynolds.
Lewis missing with a left hand there. Reynolds was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Reynolds avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lewis throws a body punch but Reynolds moves out of range.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lewis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lewis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reynolds fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lewis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Reynolds dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lewis. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lewis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reynolds won't allow Lewis to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reynolds pushes down on Lewis's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Lewis is looking to control Reynolds's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lewis avoid being mounted?

The fighters are battling for position here. Lewis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lewis wants to sweep here but Reynolds controlling him for the moment.
Lewis wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Reynolds is now in half guard.
Reynolds perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mal Reynolds will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Lewis thows a huge punch but Reynolds dodges it nicely.
Lewis looks to land a strike but Reynolds avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Lewis wants to pass the guard but Reynolds is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lewis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lewis throws a strike but Reynolds rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Reynolds passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lewis is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Well Lewis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
