The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitefield shoots in for a takedown but Tequila shows good takedown defense.

Tequila closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tequila lands in his opponent's guard.

Tequila throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Whitefield was covering up waiting for the punch and Tequila finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Whitefield feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tequila pushes a forearm under Whitefield's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Whitefield is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Tequila!
