Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shout it at the Devil. Brock Lesnar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashley blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Lesnar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lashley to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lashley looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Lashley wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.

Lashley advances position into side control!

Lashley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lesnar, who protects the arm well.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Lashley throws an elbow but Lesnar slips to the side and avoids it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lashley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lesnar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lashley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lashley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lashley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lesnar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lesnar tries to get out of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lashley working Lesnar over with strikes.
Lashley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lashley is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lashley moves nicely into side control.

Lashley decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Lashley dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lashley doesn't manage to clinch there - Lesnar circles away.

Lashley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lesnar's half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lashley controlling the pace.
Lesnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lashley on the ground.
Lashley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lashley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lesnar has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Lashley is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lesnar napping and manages to drive through into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bobby Lashley just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lashley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brock Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lashley gets a clinch.

Lashley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lashley moves in looking to clinch but Lesnar pushes him off.

Lashley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Lashley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lesnar has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Lashley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Lashley throws a head kick that misses.
Lashley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Lesnar gets caught flat footed, as Lashley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Lesnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lashley postures up and lands a big shot to Lesnar's brow.
Lashley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lashley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lashley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lashley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lashley trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
Lashley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lashley postures up in Lesnar's guard and throws a big left but Lesnar blocks it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lashley advances to half guard.
Lashley works his way into side control.
Lashley taking a breather here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lashley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Lashley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lashley throws a big right hand that misses.
Bobby Lashley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lashley wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position.

Bobby Lashley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lashley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
