Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wilmer Theodore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilmer Theodore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mauricio Rua!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theodore dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rua. That did some damage!
Theodore fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it.
Theodore throws a sloppy head kick and Rua moves out of range easily.
Theodore avoids the head kick by Rua.
Rua fails with a takedown attempt.
Theodore with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Theodore, right into the meat.
Theodore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Theodore tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rua swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Theodore throws a lazy head kick

and Rua decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Theodore's guard.

Theodore pushes Rua off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Rua has a takedown stuffed.
Rua looks gassed!
Theodore throws a shot from downtown. Rua moves away and avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Theodore swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Rua counters with a nice double leg into side control. Theodore won't be happy with that.
Theodore tries to improve position but can't.
Theodore is pushing Rua's head away, looking to escape. Rua manages to hold on to the position though.
Theodore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rua tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rua has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Theodore explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Wilmer Theodore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Theodore stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Theodore throws a nice inside leg kick.

Theodore gets a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Theodore pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Theodore looks to score with a jab to the body but Rua is just out of range.
Rua blocks a jab.
Theodore misses with a series of wild punches.
Rua steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Theodore.
Theodore works over Rua's head and body with a nice combination.
Theodore connects with the punch.

Rua is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Theodore has cracked Rua with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Theodore lands another huge swinging hook and Rua tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Rua, before Theodore can land any more shots!
