PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Gregory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregory is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A New Level. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Noah Gregory!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wilson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wilson cracks Gregory with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wilson misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd cheers as Wilson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gregory doesn't seem phased though.
Gregory uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wilson.

Gregory gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wilson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gregory looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gregory looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gregory!

Gregory goes for an armbar but Wilson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wilson.
Wilson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Gregory uses his free foot to push down on Wilson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wilson.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wilson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gregory blocks a jab.
Wilson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gregory manages to avoid it.
Wilson throws a lazy right hand but Gregory sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gregory looking to sit in guard and control but Wilson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gregory keeping full guard, as Wilson tries to pass.
Wilson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Wilson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Wilson misses with an uppercut. Gregory saw that one coming.

Gregory gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gregory has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Wilson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
