Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Bonn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Rucks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rucks throws a head kick but Bonn moves out of range.

and Rucks counters with a shoot takedown. Bonn fights it but they end up in guard.

Bonn pushes Rucks off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rucks shoots in looking for a takedown. Bonn tries to sprawl out of it but Rucks keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bonn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rucks tries to keep at a distance but Bonn has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rucks has Bonn pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bonn manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rucks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bonn wants the takedown. Rucks is fighting it off but Bonn persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rucks's guard against the cage.
Rucks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bonn is one step ahead there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rucks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bonn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rucks for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bonn stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Rucks gets caught flat footed, as Bonn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rucks tries to clinch there but Bonn circles away.

Bonn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bonn works to advance to full mount. Rucks defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Bonn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rucks is on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bonn has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rucks.

Bonn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bonn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Michael Bonn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bonn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Rucks tries to improve his position but Bonn has taken his back! Bonn has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rucks tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bonn pushes Rucks away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
