Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Hurskainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Valor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hurskainen wants to control but Valor passes into side.

Valor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Valor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Valor creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hurskainen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Valor shoots in for a double leg but Hurskainen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hurskainen doesn't manage to clinch there - Valor circles away.
Valor moves out of range of the leg kick from Hurskainen.
Valor lunges at Hurskainen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hurskainen's hand.

Valor shoots in and bounces Hurskainen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Valor lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Valoris looking to pass into half guard but Hurskainen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hurskainen is in guard.

Hurskainen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Valor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Valor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Valor!
