The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wallace passes to full mount!

Wallace working for a guillotine from mount but Menhoaf is in no mood to give up.
Menhoaf tries to hold on but Wallace postures up.
Menhoaf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Menhoaf is squirming around, avoiding Wallace's attempts to control the action.
Menhoaf is in a horrible position here. Wallace smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wallace is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Menhoaf can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
